When We Care for Ourselves
The Earth Heals
We believe sustainability doesn't require sacrifice.
The best eco-choice is one you make
not because you "should" —
but because it's better than the alternative.
When women thrive, the Earth thrives.
One Pad, 400 Years
A woman uses approximately 12,000 disposable pads in her lifetime. The main component of each pad — plastic (polypropylene, polyethylene) — takes over 400 years to decompose in nature.
This means: the very first plastic sanitary pad ever produced still exists somewhere on this planet. And the annual global waste from disposable pads is enough to circle the Earth's equator 250 times.
This is not a distant environmental issue. It is a silent white pollution crisis happening every single month.

Sustainable, Not Austere
Environmental movements have long relied on a narrative: you must endure, sacrifice, and restrain yourself for the planet. Guilt-driven consumption.
This logic works on paper. But it fails human nature.
British sociologist Anthony Giddens pointed out long ago: the consequences of climate change are "not concrete, not visible, not immediate" in our daily lives — so most people do nothing. By the time consequences become tangible, the window for action has already closed. This is the "Giddens Paradox."
You cannot convince someone to give up tangible comfort today for an invisible distant threat. This is precisely why guilt-driven环保 inevitably fails.
"The key to a sustainable lifestyle is the market providing high-quality, affordable, everyday essential products."
So we took a different path. We're not asking you to "endure for the planet." We're making something better than plastic pads. Softer. More breathable. No leaks. Sustainability is just the byproduct.
Not Just Words — A Journey
In 2018, Bioriginal launched China's first organic cotton sanitary pad. Since then, we've spent 7 years iterating through 14 versions before we could say: this path works.
Not because we held onto a belief — but because 99% of users say "I don't want to go back to other brands". Not because of environmental awareness — but because it genuinely feels better.
If 1% of Women Choose Bioriginal
We did the math: if 1% of women in China switched to biodegradable organic cotton pads during their periods —
of Tons
1% — it sounds small.
But its environmental leverage is enormous.
"Sustainability shouldn't be framed as a moral obligation, but as a design challenge: make the sustainable choice the best choice."
That's our direction: through better experience, not stronger moral appeals, turn that 1% into 10%, into 50%.
No one needs to "sacrifice for the planet." We just need to make a pad that's good enough.
This Is What We're Building
A single pad is small. But if it's more comfortable, safer, and more breathable than plastic ones, then every switch is not a sacrifice — it's a natural upgrade.
When enough women make this upgrade, it doesn't just change their awareness. It changes the future of our planet.
